Weightlifting on Zeetius
Zeetius gives weightlifting organisers, clubs and federations one place to run their competitions, lifters and officials. Organisers publish events, take entries by bodyweight category and age group and plan the weigh-in, lot draw and sessions. Attempts are scored live from the competition table and followed on the Zeetius live score page, while Zeetius Federation and Zeetius Academy look after members, rankings and young lifters.
Entries, weigh-in and results organised by category, gender and age group, as your federation defines them.
Lot numbers, groups and session times set before the weigh-in, with referees and jury allocated to every session.
Confirmed snatch, clean and jerk and total results become rankings, certificates and each lifter's history.
Competition format
A weightlifting competition is decided over two lifts. In the snatch, the lifter raises the bar from the platform to overhead in one movement. In the clean and jerk, the bar is brought to the shoulders first and then driven overhead. Each lifter has three attempts at each lift, and the heaviest successful snatch and the heaviest successful clean and jerk are added together to make the total.
Lifters compete only against others in the same bodyweight category, gender and age group. The total decides the main placing in each category, and many competitions also award places for the snatch and the clean and jerk on their own. A lifter who fails all three attempts at either lift has no total in that competition.
On Zeetius, the categories, the age groups and which results are awarded, whether the total alone or each lift as well, are set by the organiser for every event. Bodyweight categories have changed over the years and differ between youth, junior, senior and masters competition, so they are configurable rather than fixed.
Entries and categories
A weightlifting competition starts with a listing and an entry list. Zeetius Tournaments publishes a page for each event with its dates, venue, categories and rules, takes entries and payments online and checks eligibility as lifters register, so the organiser is not matching paper forms to payments in the week before the competition.
Lifters are entered in a bodyweight category and an age group, such as youth, junior, senior or masters, and many entries carry an entry total that helps the organiser plan the sessions. Clubs can enter their lifters together, and because Zeetius Federation holds each lifter's membership and date of birth, every entry can be checked against the lifter's registration and age group.
Each category keeps its own entry list and results. A lifter who has moved weight since entering can be transferred to another category before the weigh-in as the competition's rules allow, so the start list for each session reflects the lifters who will actually be on the platform.
Weigh-in and sessions
Every weightlifting session begins with a weigh-in, usually held a set time before the session starts, where each lifter's bodyweight is recorded to confirm the category and the opening attempts are declared. Lot numbers are drawn beforehand and decide the order between lifters in several situations, including the order of the weigh-in and who lifts first when two lifters request the same weight.
Large categories are split into groups, with the strongest entry totals usually lifting in the final group of the category. In Zeetius, the session plan, the groups within each category, the lot draw and the weigh-in schedule are set by the organiser, and the rules for attempt order and lot numbers are configurable to follow your federation's technical rules.
Weightlifting needs a full team of technical officials on every session. Referees, jury members, technical controllers and other officials are accredited, nominated and allocated to each session in Zeetius Tournaments and Zeetius Federation, so the technical delegate knows who is on duty and every official's appointments are kept in one history.
Live scoring, results and records
Weightlifting on Zeetius is scored live on the Zeetius multi-sport scoresheet, which is set up for the snatch, the clean and jerk and each lifter's three attempts. Table officials enter each attempt as the referees give their decision, and lifters' families, clubs and coaches follow the session at zeetius.com/live/livescore, filtered by sport, without waiting for the final protocol to be printed.
Once the referees and jury confirm them, the same scores become the official results by category, with each lifter's best snatch, best clean and jerk, total and placing. Every participant receives a certificate generated in bulk from the results, and because each confirmed result is stored against the lifter, the category and the age group, a federation can follow the best lifts in each category across its competitions.
Across a season, results become rankings. Zeetius Federation prepares rank lists from real results by category and age group, which is how a weightlifting federation builds national rankings and selection lists for international teams. How records are recognised, including the level of competition and the officials required, follows your federation's rules.
Clubs and coaching
Weightlifters are developed by clubs and academies over many years, starting with technique work on light bars before load is added as young lifters grow. Zeetius Academy manages lifters, training groups, training plans, attendance and assessments, so a coach can see each lifter's progress and plan the next training cycle from real records.
Fees, coach payroll and expense claims sit in the same system as the coaching. Parents see their own child's attendance, assessments and fees, and nothing else, while coaches record sessions from the mobile app in the gym instead of copying notes into a training diary afterwards.
Zet AI answers questions about a club's own data, such as which lifters have attended most consistently this cycle or which group is due its next assessment. Clubs and coaches can also list in the Zeetius Sports Directory, where people looking for weightlifting coaching nearby can find them.
Members and championships
A weightlifting federation registers lifters, clubs, coaches and technical officials, and keeps them current season after season. Zeetius Federation holds one record for every member, with renewals, transfers, membership cards and a complete history, and fees are paid online through secure payment gateways with renewal reminders sent by email and SMS.
Federations usually work through state or regional associations and clubs, and each tier can have its own access. A club manages its own lifters, a region sanctions its own competitions, and the federation sees every member and every sanctioned event in one view, with membership, participation and revenue reports at a glance.
National championships bring lifters, coaches, officials and guests together for several days. Zeetius Connect accredits them online before they arrive and manages accommodation, meals and transport, with QR validation for entry and coupons, so the people side of a championship runs alongside the competition sessions.
