Tennis on Zeetius

Tennis tournament software and live scoring

Zeetius runs tennis competitions from the entry form to the final certificate. Organisers take entries by event and age group, make seeded draws with qualifying where they need it, schedule the order of play across every court and score each match live in Arena by Zeetius, while live scores, draws, results and upcoming matches are published for players and fans.

Scoring that knows tennis

Points, games, sets and tie-breaks are scored on court, with advantage or no-ad games and a match tie-break set up to suit each event.

Draws with seeds and qualifying

Seeded main draws, byes and qualifying rounds are built from your entries and kept current as every result comes in.

Published while you play

Live scores, draws, results and upcoming matches appear on the public Zeetius pages while the tournament is still running.

Live scoring

How is tennis scored live on Zeetius?

Tennis scoring is layered. Points run 15, 30, 40 and game, and a game that reaches 40-40 goes to deuce, after which a player must win two points in a row: first the advantage, then the game. Games make sets, usually won by the first player to six games with a two-game margin, and a tie-break decides the set at six games all.

Umpires score each point in Arena by Zeetius on the Umpire Assist tablet app, the web interface or the mobile app. The system follows the server, the game score and the set score, so the umpire only records who won the point. Each point reaches the public live score page at the moment it is recorded, with the set scores and the game in progress.

Tennis formats differ from event to event, and each one is configurable: best of three or best of five sets, advantage or no-ad games, the set tie-break, and a match tie-break played in place of a deciding set. A junior event, a veterans' doubles and an open singles championship can each run their own rules inside the same tournament.

  • No-ad games. At deuce a single deciding point settles the game, which shortens matches in club, junior and doubles events.
  • Set tie-break. Played at six games all, won by the first player to seven points with a two-point margin.
  • Match tie-break. Won by the first to ten points with a two-point margin, and often used instead of a deciding set in doubles and junior events.

Draws and seeding

Tennis draws with seeds, byes and qualifying

A tennis main draw is a knockout, and its fairness depends on seeding. Zeetius Tournaments places the seeded players in their set positions so that the top seeds can only meet in the later rounds, fills the remaining lines from the entry list and adds byes when the field is not a full draw of 16, 32 or 64, with the byes going to the top seeds.

Larger tennis events play a qualifying draw before the main draw. The players who win through qualifying take the qualifier lines in the main draw, and the number of seeds, qualifying places and any wildcards are decisions the organiser makes for each event. Draws can be adjusted as withdrawals arrive, so the bracket stays accurate up to the first ball.

Singles, doubles and mixed doubles usually run side by side, often in several age groups. Each event has its own draw and seeding, and Zet AI can suggest seeds from rankings and recent form while keeping players from the same club or state apart in the early rounds. Brackets are published on the Zeetius live draws page and update with every result.

Scheduling

Order of play across every tennis court

A tennis match has no fixed length. A straight-sets match can be over within an hour, while three tight sets with tie-breaks can take far longer, so the order of play has to absorb delays. Zeetius Tournaments builds the schedule across your courts, with matches following each other on court and rest protected for players entered in more than one event.

When a match overruns, the matches behind it move. Arena by Zeetius manages court allocation and umpire assignment through the day, so the referee's desk can send a waiting match to a free court and the change is visible straight away. The Zeetius upcoming matches page shows players when and where they are due on court.

  • Every court at once. Each court in the venue runs its own queue of matches, from the show court to the outside courts.
  • Umpires where they are needed. Chair umpires are assigned and rotated across courts as the day unfolds.
  • No double calls. Schedules respect rest times, so a player in both singles and doubles is not called to two courts at once.

Results and rankings

Tennis results, rankings and certificates

Every completed tennis match becomes a result immediately. The scoreline is recorded set by set, and the winner moves into the next round of the draw without anyone retyping it. Results are published by tournament and date on the Zeetius results page, which gives players, parents and clubs one place to check the outcome of every match.

For federations and associations, tennis results feed rankings. Zeetius Federation prepares rank lists from real results by event and age group, so a player's ranking reflects the tournaments they actually played. At the end of the event the same results produce certificates for every participant, generated in bulk rather than written by hand.

Technical officials are managed alongside the results. Referees and chair umpires are accredited, nominated and allocated to tournaments and matches, and each official's assignments stay on record, which makes it easier to plan the umpiring team for the next tournament in the calendar.

Clubs and academies

Tennis academy and club management software

Tennis players are developed over many years in academies and clubs, in batches grouped by age and level. Zeetius Academy manages athletes, batches, training plans, attendance and assessments, and handles fees, coach payroll and expense claims in the same system, so the coaching programme and the accounts never disagree.

Court time is the scarce resource in most tennis clubs. Courtz by Zeetius gives members live availability and recurring bookings, so a coaching batch can hold the same court every weekday afternoon while the remaining slots stay open to members. Courts used by a Zeetius Tournaments event are blocked automatically and released if the event finishes early.

Parents see their own child's attendance, assessments and fees, and nothing else. Coaches record sessions on court from the mobile app, and Zet AI answers questions about the academy's own data, such as which juniors have attended most consistently this term or which batch is due its next assessment.

Federations and events

Tennis software for federations and tournament organisers

A tennis federation's calendar mixes junior circuits, open tournaments, team events and national championships. Zeetius Federation registers players, clubs and officials once, sanctions events, manages entries and age categories, and carries the results of every sanctioned tournament into rankings across the season.

Players enrol and pay online against a listing page for each tournament, with eligibility checked as they register. Multi-day championships can accredit players and officials through Zeetius Connect, which also manages accommodation, meals and transport, with QR validation for venue entry and coupons.

Show courts can be streamed with Ztream by Zeetius, which carries the live score from Arena by Zeetius on screen and supports sponsor placements throughout the broadcast. If your tennis event uses a format not described here, such as a team competition with its own order of rubbers, talk to us about setting it up.

FAQ

Tennis on Zeetius: questions, answered

Something else on your mind? Talk to our team.

Can Zeetius score tennis matches live?

Yes. Tennis is scored live in Arena by Zeetius. Umpires record each point on the Umpire Assist tablet app, the web interface or the mobile app, and the public live score page shows the set scores and the current game as they change.

Does it support no-ad scoring and match tie-breaks?

Yes. Advantage or no-ad games, the set tie-break at six games all, best of three or five sets, and a match tie-break in place of a deciding set are all configured per event, so different events in one tournament can use different formats.

How are seeds, byes and qualifying handled in a tennis draw?

The organiser sets the number of seeds and qualifying places for each event. Zeetius Tournaments places the seeds in their draw positions, adds byes when the field is not a full draw, and puts the players who win through qualifying into the qualifier lines of the main draw.

Where can players and fans follow a tennis tournament?

On the public Zeetius live pages. Live scores, draws, results and upcoming matches all cover tennis, and they update as umpires record results on court, so nobody has to wait for a printed draw sheet.

Can our tennis club book courts and run coaching in Zeetius?

Yes. Courtz by Zeetius handles court booking, recurring bookings and pricing by time band, and Zeetius Academy runs coaching batches, attendance, assessments and fees. Academy batches book their courts through Courtz, so the two calendars never conflict.

Can we run tennis alongside other racquet sports?

Yes. The same platform runs badminton, table tennis, pickleball, squash and more than 40 sports in total, so a multi-sport club, academy or federation keeps a single record of its players, events and results.
