The Zeetius App: Putting the Whole Tournament in a Player's Pocket
Entries, draws, live scores, court call-ups and results in one app — for the player standing in a hall trying to work out when they are on.
Stand in any tournament hall on a Saturday morning and you will see the same thing: a hundred people looking at their phones, and none of them finding what they need.
They want three facts. Am I next? Which court? Roughly when? Those three facts exist — they are in the schedule, the draw and the live scores, all of which the tournament already has. They just are not reachable from where the player is standing.
The Zeetius App exists to close that gap.
Built around the player's actual question
The home screen answers "what is happening to me, now" before anything else. Your next match, the court, the estimated start based on how the matches ahead of you are actually progressing rather than the published time, and how many matches are between you and the court.
- Your matches — across every event you are entered in, singles, doubles and mixed, in one running order.
- Live court call-ups — a notification when you are called, so the wait can be spent somewhere other than a plastic chair by the door.
- Draws — the full bracket, with your path highlighted and your side of the draw filled in as results land.
- Live scores — every court at the tournament, so a coach can follow three athletes at once.
- Entries — register for upcoming tournaments from the phone, with your profile and eligibility already on file.
- Results and history — your record over time, not just today.
The feature people actually talk about
Of everything in the app, the one that changes a tournament day most is the two-matches-away notification. It sounds trivial. In practice it is the difference between a player warming up at the right time and a player being called cold, and between a parent watching their child's match and missing it because they went to find lunch. It is also the feature that reduces crowding around the control desk more than any other, because the question it answers is the one everybody was queuing to ask.
Why it took until now
An app is only as good as the data behind it, and a tournament app is only useful if the underlying tournament is genuinely live. An estimated start time computed from a published schedule is worse than useless — it is confidently wrong by mid-morning.
The estimate in the app is derived from real scoring data coming off the courts: how long matches in this event are actually taking today, on these courts, at this stage. That only became possible once live scoring was running at scale across the platform, which is why the app follows the scoring infrastructure rather than leading it.
For organisers
There is nothing to do. If your tournament runs on Zeetius, it is in the app — draws, schedule, scores and results flow from the same records the control desk is already using. No separate upload, no separate app build, no per-tournament configuration.
