How the Saudi Badminton Federation Scored 5,783 Matches with Badminton Live Scoring Software

The Saudi Badminton Federation has used Zeetius badminton live scoring software to score 5,783 matches across 75 tournaments over three years, with 40 scoring officials supported on court. As its calendar grew, the federation needed scoring that held up at volume and kept players, officials and audiences connected in real time.

The challenge

The challenge: more courts, categories and officials at once

SBF runs athlete development, tournaments and programmes at local, regional and international level. Every new event adds courts, categories, officials and matches running at the same time.

At that scale, scoring stops being a courtside task and becomes an operations problem: a score has to be right on the court, visible to players and fans straight away, and filed in the federation's records without anyone typing it twice.

The approach

The approach: score once, show it everywhere

  1. Official's hands scoring a badminton match on a tablet

Capture the score at the court

Officials score digitally as play happens, so every point is recorded once, at the source.

  2. Doubles players lunging for a shuttle on a Saudi Badminton Federation court

Run every court from one place

Matches, courts and categories are handled in one tournament management system while play runs in parallel.

  3. Player serving beside a live scoreboard at a Saudi Badminton Federation event

    Share and keep every result

Scores reach players, officials and audiences instantly and land in one central record.

The results

The results of three years of badminton live scoring

To August 2026, Zeetius Live has powered 75 SBF tournaments, scored 5,783 matches and delivered 3,080 hours of live scoring for 2,883 players and participants. That is about 77 matches and 41 hours of live play in a typical tournament: full events, not pilots.

The Zeetius application has been very useful and easy to work with. It has greatly supported our development efforts by making tasks easier to manage and assign. The Zeetius team has also been highly cooperative and supportive throughout the process.

What this means for you

What this means for federations

  1. Treat scoring as operations, not equipment

The value is in who sees the score, where it is stored, and how fast it becomes an official result.

  2. Choose for the 75th tournament, not the first

Ask for multi-year, multi-event proof from one federation. For speed under pressure, see our remote live scoring in Lagos.

  3. Your officials decide whether it works

The tool they can run confidently on match day matters more than the longest feature list.
